We are pro "one-nap"

We have sucessfully hit another milestone. Last week, while our nanny was off for personal reasons we (thanks to my Aunt) dropped a nap. My aunt saw the opportunity to make the move. You would have thought she read my mind, considering I wanted to do this to prepare for our vacation. My Aunt is truly awesome.
It has been a slow transition and we are all adjusting BUT I must say I love the one nap schedule. The trick seems to be to create activities to keep them busy, which was easier to skimp on with 2 naps. One nap toddlers show no mercy, if you are not planned. It was prolly a bad week to start, considering the boys are teething and getting over tummy issues. (Bad for me not them) They have adapted like champs. OK I am exaggerating a tad. We have had very sleepy toddlers fall asleep in the midst of playing (Brady) and eating (Corey) lunch. How does that happen? Easily! Think narcoleptic! The most challenging days have been the ones without planned activities, because no child should be left at home that long with nothing fun to do.

So our schedule at 15.75 is as follows:
7-7:30 wake
12-3 nap
7:30 bedtime

Its totally a different world. We may not be able to be the family that lunches but we can do play dates now with children closer to our age. An added bonus is the fact that Corey and Brady's girl friends are on the same schedule so double dates are back!

Wow, they sleep great.

I can't say with C though since she's been sick for two weeks, but before that..

She had dropped down to one nap. It actually was great. She only catnapping in the mornings anyway. I'm jealous though, your kids sleep a lot longer than C. I would love 3 hours to clean or take a shower! lol
